Overview

The TS-C-PCM16 PCMCIA data acquisition card provides eight differential or 16 single-ended analog input channels, expandable to 256 with input expansion adapters. Its bipolar input range extends from ±1.25V to ±10V. Programmable gains are in steps of 1, 2, 4 and 8. The TS-C-PCM16 supports sampling rates of up to 100 kS/sec at 12-bit resolution.

Equipped with a 4K Data FIFO, the TS-C-PCM16 can achieve full speed data acquisition under Windows. It also has a 2048 entry Scan FIFO which supports full speed random order channel scanning and gain selection. Compared with other manufacturers' cards providing smaller FIFOs or no FIFOs, the PCM16 significantly reduces CPU overhead.

The TS-C-PCM16 has a 24-bit pacer clock (programmable by a divisor of eight or a prescaler of 64) that can be used with an external clock source. With the 5MHz internal clock source, the pacer clock can generate sampling rates precise from .01 S/sec to 100 kS/sec. The TS-C-PCM16 also has eight TTL compatible digital I/O channels, each of which can be used for control or monitoring.

The TS-S-PCMSuite CD is included with the card. It contains PCMDRIVE, a software driver supporting various programming languages including Visual C++, Delphi and Visual Basic. The CD also includes drivers which interface to WINview, WINview Plus, TestPoint, DasyLab, and LabView. Programming languages are supported under Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
